A group of partygoers celebrate New Year’s Eve at an old hotel on a remote island in 1959. And then… they mysteriously vanish. Nearly 30 years later, a group of teens rescue a bullied American tourist from a group of ne’er do wells at a seaside fair and escape by boat to the remote island. In the hotel lies Christmas and New Year’s decor… despite it being July. If only that was the weirdest thing on the island, as supernatural occurrences begin plaguing our protagonists, such as rogue silverware that moves on their own, film characters bursting out of the silver screen, and zombies! The final film from the late, great British genre filmmaker Norman J. Warren (SATAN’S SLAVE, INSEMINOID), BLOODY NEW YEAR blends ‘50s B-Movie, possession horror, slasher, zombie film, and everything *including* the kitchen sink for a confounding but highly entertaining experience. BLOODY NEW YEAR is presented as part of The Unstreamables, a monthly series that features the weirdest and wildest genre films that are not available for rent, purchase, or streaming on a digital platform.
